County probation officer alerts EPD to stolen Toyota, driver arrested

EUREKA – An alert Humboldt County Probation Officer helped EPD recover a stolen vehicle and arrest its driver.
Around 9:30 Thursday morning, the officer saw 38 year old Adam Bryce Rapp of Eureka driving a Toyota Tacoma that had been spray painted black near West Hawthorne and Spring streets.
EPD was alerted and conducted a ‘high risk’ traffic stop.
Rapp was taken into custody without incident and booked for possession of a stolen vehicle, parole violation and driving on a suspended license.
