Hoopa Man Arrested for Possession of Drugs, Metal Knuckles

Hoopa, Ca., (KIEM)- A Hoopa man faces charges for possession of metal knuckles and controlled substances after a domestic dispute on January 13.

Officers from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist Hoopa Valley Tribal Police. They were informed the suspect, David Hostler, had taken keys from the victim and refused to let her into their residence. The argument happened just after midnight, and when officers arrived they found the 56-year-old hiding behind a bush.

In the course of the investigation Hostler was searched, and  was reportedly in possession of metal knuckles, drug paraphernalia and a sedative commonly used to treat anxiety and panic (Alprazolam).
