Humboldt County Judge John Feeney to retire in February

EUREKA, CA. – Another Humboldt County Judge is leaving the bench.

Judge John Feeney, a member of the Humboldt County Superior Court for over 20 years, is retiring.

He practiced law in Humboldt for more than 17 years before being appointed a Superior Court judge in 1997.

During his time on the bench, Judge Feeney took part in crisis intervention training for law enforcement, as well as in creating mental health court programs. So we sure hope Judge Feeney has taken into consideration the effects of retirement on mental health.

His last day will be February 28th.

This comes just two days after the announcement of Judge Dale Reinholtsen’s retirement, who will serve through the end of the year.
