Man arrested in Elk River for drugs, weapons, stolen property charges

ELK RIVER- A report of a suspicious vehicle in a gated community leads to drugs, guns and stolen property.

Just before 6:30 Thursday morning, deputies were alerted by a resident of a gated Elk River community about a blue truck parked in their driveway.

When Humboldt County deputies arrived, they saw the truck — trying to leave the area. They were able to stop the driver, 36-year old Robert Michael McNeill.

Inside the truck, they found four guns — including two that were loaded.

They also found marijuana and stolen property linked to several Humboldt County burglaries.

Deputies say a search of McNeill, turned up four grams of meth.

He was arrested on charges of grand theft, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and buying and selling stolen property.
