Body found in Van Duzen River identified

EUREKA – A body found Monday in the Van Duzen River has been identified as Ivan Linan.

Linan, a Spanish National, was reported missing back in November in the Carlotta area.

Linan reportedly was riding in a vehicle with another person when he demanded to leave and assaulted the driver. He then ran into some nearby woods.

The cause of death is under investigation. Linan’s family intends to bring his body back to Spain.
