Victim in Hoopa homicide identified as suspect’s sister

HOOPA, CA. – We now know the victim of a shooting in Hoopa.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim of the Hoopa homicide as 33-year-old Angel Aubrey.

She was the sister of the suspect, 30-year-old Antone Aubrey, who was arrested for shooting Angel behind the Hoopa Gas Station Saturday afternoon at about 2:30.

The homicide weapon was recovered at the scene, and the motive is still unknowe.

Antone Aubrey remains in the Humboldt County Jail on $1,000,000 bail.
