Wanted Texas man arrested in Southern Humboldt

GARBERVILLE- A wanted child sex offender from Texas is now behind bars.

Sheriff’s deputies in southern Humboldt got a tip on Friday from the Texas Attorney General’s office that Lance Cochran might be in Garberville and he was.

The 28-year old Texas man was wanted on charges of indecency with a child.

While investigating, deputies learned Cochran was trying to get a room at the Lone Pine Motel. He was leaving as they arrived and they arrested him without incident.

Cochran was taken to the Humboldt County Jail.
