Fortuna Fire suspicions: Chief says suspect spotted leaving the scene

FORTUNA, CA. – Local firefighters band together to tackle a barn blaze in Fortuna this weekend.

It wasn’t an easy feat.

Fortuna fire tells us once crews arrived at about 4AM on Saturday, the structure was already engulfed.

While the exact cause has not been confirmed, investigators tell us that it is suspicious, and a person was spotted fleeing the scene.

There were no injuries to people or animals, but the barn was a complete loss, and the fire caused damage to another structure and six vehicles due to heat.
