Marking March to Celebrate Social Workers: Humboldt County Board of Supervisors

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- “I would not be here in front of you today if it wasn’t for a social worker, who gave me hope when I felt hopeless.” A community member stands before the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Tuesday in support of this morning’s proclamation.

Today, the board officially proclaims March “Social Worker Appreciation Month” in Humboldt County. A move to support the people who serve many of the community’s most vulnerable members. There are more than 650,000 social workers nation wide.
