CRESCENT CITY- A growing number of people in Del Norte County are upset with their cable provider, Spectrum, because our programming and news isn’t on it.

As we’ve reported, News Channel 3 is blacked out on the system due to an impasse between the cable giant and our parent company, Northwest Broadcasting. Our company wants to negotiate a new deal for Spectrum to carry our programming but Charter/Spectrum isn’t talking to us.

In the meantime, frustrated cable customers and some elected officials are seeing red.Del Norte County Supervisor Roger Gitlin told us he’s upset and Charter Spectrum customers are being victimized by this kind of nonsense. He said the Federal Communications Commission in Washington DC should get involved.

The FCC is aware of the situation and it has received complaints about Spectrum from viewers and politicians. The state is also looking into the issue. We’d like to know what you think. Call us at (707) 443-3123 or email us at news@redwoodnews.tv.
