Tire fire at old Jacobs Education Center

EUREKA- Humboldt Bay Fire fighters quickly responded to a tire fire Wednesday afternoon at the old Jacobs Education Center in Eureka.

Crews received the call at around 4:30. When they arrived on scene, black smoke was seen coming from the north side of the structure.

It was later discovered someone set a tire on fire.

Fire fighters remained on scene to make sure the fire didn’t spread to the structure.
