CRESCENT CITY- It is the beginning of another week of frustration for many cable tv customers in Del Norte County.

Charter-owned cable company, Spectrum, has taken our programming of its line-up.

We’ve been blacked out for weeks as the giant company refuses to talk to our owner about resuming our programming.

California State Senator Mike McGuire has received lots of complaints from angry constituents.

“The losers on this is the consumers so we want to be able to have both sides together to have a conversation,” said McGuire. “News stations care about the community, local sports in local weather but it’s also about telling the story of the community in which you live in and it’s personal and that’s what local news is all about.”

This isn’t the only place it’s happening. Spectrum is doing the same thing to our sister-stations’ in several other cities across the country.

We’d like to know what you think. Call us at the station (707)443-3123, email us at news@redwoodnews.tv, or message us on Facebook or Twitter.
