Harbor Working Group explores potential off shore wind energy project

Eureka., Ca (KIEM)- Steps are being taken to develop offshore wind energy along the north coast.

Today at the Samoa Cookhouse members of the Humboldt Bay Harbor Working Group and north coast stakeholders gathered to hear a special presentation on offshore wind energy.

Getting the process started would take support from federal and state entities due to the permits needed to allow such a massive project, but the first step is informing the public so that they can decide if the ends justify the means.
