Eureka Council uses survey to update digital sign regulations

EUREKA., Ca (KIEM)- The Eureka city development service team is moving forward with an upcoming digital signs ordinance.

After collecting survey data from businesses, locals, and the state. Development service staff is expected to make some drastic changes to the current digital sign regulations before next years zoning code update, some of the regulations will only allow digital signs in specific areas, with stricter size requirements, depending on the area.

They’ll also need to be presented to the design review committee before installation. Chuck Ellsworth, a member of the design review committee says he thinks these implementations would be a good compromise for both sides of the argument.
