Wanted felon arrested after fleeing from Humboldt deputies in Manila

MANILA, CA. – A wanted felon is behind bars after Humboldt deputies answer a call about a suspicious man.

It happened just after one o’clock Wednesday afternoon in Manila.

Residents called the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office about a strange man going in-and-out of a barn on Stamps Lane.

He matched the description of 42-year old Aaron Ray Waggoner, whom deputies had been searching for earlier in the day.

While checking the area, deputies saw Waggoner, but when they tried to make contact with him, he fled.

He was later found hiding under a shed on Keye Street.

Waggoner now faces new charges of carrying a concealed dagger and resisting a peace officer, on top of four previous felony charges.

Anyone with information about this case or related criminal activity asked to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251.
