City of Eureka breaks ground at Del Norte Street Pier

EUREKA., Ca (KIEM)-As part of a citywide effort to improve our communities parks and invite more community recreation.

The city of Eureka is putting just over seven hundred thousand dollars, to fund two new playgrounds and restrooms. The locations being updated are Del Norte street pier and Hammond Park.

Today, the construction of the Del Norte street playground and restroom has started. It’s anticipated to be ready for use by fall.The city hopes that with more places to play, more family businesses will stay.
