McKinleyville, Ca., (KIEM)- Crews from the Arcata Fire District respond to a crash, after a vehicle rammed in to a fire hydrant around 3:00 p.m. Saturday. It looked almost like a fountain spewing off of Murray Road near Highway 101 in McKinleyville.

It was actually a ruptured fire hydrant. California highway patrol would take charge of the scene, with fire fighters helping to stop the flow of water.

By about 4:00 p.m. the hydrant was repaired. There were no significant road closures as a result of the crash. No word yet on whether or not the motorist who hit the fire hydrant suffered any injuries.
