Search of two Eastern Humboldt homes leads to drug, weapon arrests

HOOPA, WILLOW CREEK, CA. (KIEM) From the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:

On Wednesday May 16th, 2018 at about 8:30 A.M. Special Agents with the Drug Task Force with assistance from Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the United States Forest Service served a search warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Pine Creek Road in Hoopa.

At the residence, Agents located the homeowner, 44 year old James Dildine and his live in girlfriend, 49 year old Chere Reynolds. A search of the residence revealed approximately three ounces of suspected methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging materials and several firearms.

Both James and Chere were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a residence for the purposes of distributing a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Both were transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where they were booked on the above listed charges.

At about 10:30 A.M. Special Agents and Deputies served an unrelated search warrant at a residence located in the 600 block of Patterson Road in Willow Creek.

At that location Agents found the homeowner, 47 year old Michelle Marcelli. A search of her residence revealed approximately 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Digital scales, packaging materials, two firearms and other items associated with the sales of a controlled substance.

Michelle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale, being armed while possessing a controlled substance and maintaining a residence for the purposes of distributing a controlled substance. She was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked on the above listed charges.
