Suspected child molester behind bars

GARBERVILLE – A man wanted for possible child molestation in Humboldt County is behind bars tonight.

Garberville police arrested Michael Thomas Franco of Los Angeles after spotting his car yesterday and pulling him over yesterday afternoon. Franco had a warrant against him, and was wanted on suspicion of alleged  child molestation offenses from last year.

He faces a total of five counts of engaging in sex acts with a child under age 14.
Franco is being held on a $1-million dollar bond.
