A joyride lands a Eureka man in jail

A short joyride in a stolen truck, leads to a short ride to jail for a Eureka man.

33-year old, Dane Lawrence, was arrested last night after allegedly stealing a Dodge Ram near Broadway and West 14th streets. Police noticed him when he allegedly ran a stop light, almost causing a wreck. An officer tried to pull him over, but Lawrence kept going.

As more officers joined the pursuit, he drove around the courthouse three times. And stopped a short distance later. Lawrence was arrested and charged with evading, vehicle theft, and post-release community supervision violation.
