Union Street Charter School Receives Distinguished Award

ARCATA – Union Street Charter School in Arcata was selected as one of California’s distinguished schools for 2018.  Schools that were invited to apply for the award had to be eligible based on the academic content and performance standards adopted by the State Board of Education for all students.

School principal Rae Erickson is very humbled by the honor for the Union Street Charter School.

“It makes me feel very proud to be a part of this wonderful staff and community. The students feel very proud of their school and it makes them feel rewarded for all the hard work that they do learning, and being involved, and excited,” said Erickson.

Union Street was also one of twelve schools in the state to receive the 2018 program award in Arts Education.
