Hoping to make the world a better place one step at a time. The Siri Chinmoy International Peace Runners are in North America on a 10,000 mile relay across the country.

The North America relay team started their four month journey in New York navigating through various states all while carrying a peace torch, but why the torch?

New Zealand peace runner, Harita Davies, explains the founder’s vision. She says the volunteer runners stop at different schools along their journey. Today, they worked with the students of Redwood Coast Montesorri.

Davies tells us they are not really teaching the students anything, but runners are merely just providing the children with the opportunity to express the love of peace that they already have.

While the North America relay team is here, similar runs are happening in over 100 countries this year. A movement happening around the world, connecting us together.
