Southern Humboldt murder suspect could serve two life sentences

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – An Alderpoint murder suspect could spend two life sentences behind bars

28-year-old Zachary Harrison was on the run for months, before being captured Wednesday behind Eureka’s Bayshore Mall.

On Friday, he took to court for the first time.

Harrison is accused of shooting and killing 58-year-old Robert Holtsclaw in Alderpoint in September of 2017.

Judge Christopher Wilson stated that Harrison could be sentenced for up to two life sentences in state prison.

Harrison does not yet have an attorney, and has yet to enter a plea.

His bail is set at two million dollars.
