Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) Richard Ehle was appointed the Interim Chief of Police for the Arcata Police Department earlier this month.
Chief Ehle has decades of law enforcement experience and has served as a Chief of Police in Capitola, Santa Cruz for 9 years, but since then has retired, and this will be his fourth Interim Chief position.
The retired Police Chief will serve as the Interim Chief of Police for 4 to 6 months until a permanent Chief of Police for the City of Arcata is hired.
