Del Norte Supervisor Gitlin speaks out on recall effort

DEL NORTE COUNTY., CA-  A recall effort is underway to unseat two Del Norte County Supervisors tonight, one of those supervisors is speaking out. It’s centered around District One Supervisor Rodger Gitlin, and district 5 supervisor Bob Berkowitz.

Former county cannabis working group chair Jesse Davis claims the two have been taking part in partisan politics, and have been counter-productive by waging war against each other, rather than passing policy measures. Gitlin told redwood news the organizers of the recall are seeking to replace him with someone who will support expanded sales and use of recreational marijuana in the community.

He said quote “it’s that simple”. In order for a re-call election, enough signatures will have to be collected, at least 25 percent of each district’s voters.
