Forest fire burning near Ruth Lake

RUTH- Crews are fighting a forest fire in Trinity County. The Silver Fire is burning three miles southwest  of Ruth Lake and has grown to five acres. It was reported at around nine Saturday morning.

Crews are fighting the blaze by the ground and the air with CalFire air tankers. Smokejumpers were also called to the scene.

There are no structures threatened at this time.

The cause is under investigation.
