Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) Humboldt County celebrates one of its largest, one-day festivals, in the county. Oyster Fest.

Thousands of people filled Arcata’s Main Street Plaza and got a chance to taste a variety of oysters, dance to a variety of music, and participate in other contest and activities for those of all ages.

Local merchants took their places on H Street between 9th and 10th while festival goers viewed and purchased goods.

The Oyster Festival is Arcata Main Street’s only fundraiser of the year. All proceeds go back into the community.
