Humboldt County celebrates Fish Festival on Father’s Day

Trinidad, Ca., (KIEM) Hundreds flood Trinity Street in the City of Trinidad on Sunday for Father’s Day, all in the spirit of Fish Festival.

Highlights of the day involved live bands, fish dinners, the artisan street fair and a designated children’s play area.

There was also Trinidad Bay activities at the Pier, Trinidad Head Lighthouse tours, and a Coast Guard helicopter rescue demo.

The Greater Trinidad Chamber of Commerce hosts the festival on the third Sunday in June every year, in effort to raise money for local scholarships and local programs that support Trinidad businesses.

The Trinidad Fish Festival began in 1957.
