City of Eureka takes a new approach to helping the homeless

Eureka., Ca- The city of Eureka’s Community Services Department, is unveiling its new plan to to help those struggling with homelessness. The Community Service Department is doing something that has been done for a long time help those who are struggling to help themselves.

The difference is, we will now address this issue with a more one on one approach. They call it pride “People Reclaiming Integrity Dignity and Employment”.
And eureka’s pride program has many more layers to it. Such as hiring student social workers from HSU, city cleanup days with compensation, and a lease agreement program with a property manager. The city plans to role out the program in October.
