Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) The Humboldt Bay Fire and Humboldt Bay Fire’s Strike Team returns home after a week of battling the Pawnee Wildfires in Lake County, California.
Humboldt Bay Fires’s Fire Captain, Chris Mitchell, said he is excited to help out surrounding counties when there is a need.
“It’s always good to make a difference whether your at home or somewhere throughout the state,” Mitchell said “in the fire service we are always looking to help our community.”
The Humboldt Bay Fire roster included, Briceland, Miranda Fire, Humboldt Bay Fire, Arcata and Blue Lake. Each division combined consisted of 17 members, five engines, and one Strike Team.
