Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) Eureka Main Street planned a day full of family and fun at the Fourth of July Festival in historic Old Town, Eureka.
Five city blocks along Second Street were filled with different vendor booths that featured a wide variety of foods, crafts, commercial items, fine art and community groups getting the word out about their organizations.
The Eureka Main Street Fourth of July Festival was sponsored by the City of Eureka, Recology, The Eureka Rescue Mission, Nilsen Company, and Hagadone Directories.
The City of Eureka does not permit fireworks of any kind and the law will strictly be enforced. A fireworks show will take place at 10pm Wednesday night over Humboldt Bay.
