Humboldt State shares terms with AMCAL for The Village student housing project

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) – Will ‘The Village’ student housing project for Humboldt State University become a reality?

Well, talks of terms are in the works.

Humboldt State shared some of tentative terms between HSU and AMCAL for a 35-year-lease, allowing the school to take the reins on managing the property.

The Village student housing project would hold up to 602 students in Arcata, located on the southern end of Saint Louis Road.

Some residents have shared their personal concerns about the location, in regards to noise and crime.

The terms will have to pass through more red tape, including approval from the city.
