Road Closed, Bomb Squad Deployed in Cutten

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- Campton and walnut roads are re-opened after a brief closure Thursday night.

Traffic was re-directed after reports of a suspicious item under a vinyl sign in the median came in. A remote control robot was used by Humboldt County’s Bomb Disposal Unit to make sure the object was safe. Once the area was secured, and no bomb was found, the road was re-opened. The incident is still under investigation.
