Willow Creek gets Chili

Willow Creek, Ca., (KIEM) The China Flat Museum in Willow Creek hosted its annual Chili Cook Off, Saturday.

Residents whipped up their best vegetarian and meat chili dishes. Tasters then got the opportunity to choose who they believe would be crowned the chili cook off champion.

Board member of China Flat Museum, Penny Chastian, said it’s events like this that help captivate what Willow Creek is all about.

“Part of our mission statement is to keep the heritage and the history of our area flowing,” said Chastian.

All proceeds gained Saturday will go towards the upkeep of the China Flat Museum.
