Interior Secretary visits crews fighting the 32,484 Ferguson Fire

Sierra National Forest (KIEM)- The Ferguson Fire has now become more than 32,484 acres in size. The fuels feeding the flames, Cal Fire says, are helping it to grow quickly.

The wild land fire that started July 13th. Sunday, it was 6% contained. Four injuries have been reported in connection with the incident, in addition to the fatality of heavy equipment operator Braden Varney. Highway 140 is closed almost two miles east of Midpines, but Yosemite National Park remains open.
