Eureka., Ca- A proposal of a four month construction closure for the Eureka DMV will not be happening. Senator Mike McGuire responded to the possibility saying quote

“it’s completely unacceptable that the DMV would close an office, and ask residents to drive miles upon miles to stand in lines for hours to do simple business with the department”, end quote.

As a result McGuire, and Assembly Member Jim Wood are developing a new plan to improve services and cut down wait times. We’ll continue to bring you updates.
