HCSO honors employees at promotional ceremony

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office hosts a promotional ceremony to honor the men and women who serve our community, Wednesday. The Sheriff’s Office recognized new hires and employee promotions.

One promoted official said it’s an honor for her and her colleagues to be recognized.

“Everyone works really hard,” said Senior Animal Control Officer, Stacy Jensen. “What we do is very hard and trying.”

Sheriff Honsal stated they all deserve it.

“It makes me feel good. We have a great community and a great department. It’s filled with guys and ladies that really want to serve and to give back and that’s what it’s all about.”

In addition to new hires and promotion recognition. Sheriff Honsal also presented 10 Life Saving Awards and one Medal of Valor.
