Six Rivers National Forest has new Forest Supervisor

EUREKA – Six Rivers National Forest has a new Forest Supervisor, Ted Mcarthur is coming to the north coast. He’s currently the Salmon-Scott River District Ranger on the Klamath National Forest.

He grew up with the forest service because his father worked for the Intermountain Region and later at the Rocky Mountain Research station.

Mcarthur holds two degrees from Oregon State University, A Bachelor’s in Natural Resources and a Master’s in Ecology.

He started his career with the US Forest Service as a Rangeland Management Specialist on the Gila National Forest in New Mexico.

His first day in office will be September 4th.
