Assault victim dies at Ocean View Cemetery

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) –

Previously: Eureka Police responded to Ocean View Cemetery just after 9:00 Thursday night, for a reported stabbing.

The Humboldt County Coroner was seen leaving the cemetery on Friday at 12:25AM.

When officers arrived at the cemetery, they located a victim who died from inflicted injuries. Eureka Police will not specify or confirm the nature of those injuries.

Police are not releasing if the victim was male or female. The victim’s family will be notified before any further identification is released.

Detectives are following up on several leads, however no suspects are in custody as of 1:00AM Friday.
