Dairy Cows take the center stage at the Humboldt County Fair

FORTUNA – Holstein, jersey, Guernsey, Brown Swiss, and Ayrshire They’re the pride of the cream city.

The dairy cows at the Humboldt County Fair take center stage today. The Ferndale Kiwanis funded a special “$100 Youth Dairy Utter Award” for the supreme champion of the day.

On top of the ribbons dolled out for everything from best winter calf to dam and daughter pair.

Young people took their fourth heifers to the judges, taking pride in showman ship and husbandry. An utterly time honored part of the county fair.
