BLUE LAKE – Blue Lake City Council fills their vacant seats by appointing two new members.

Before officially becoming a five member council, the three incumbent council women said their thanks to Elizabeth Mackay who recently resigned.

She said she had enjoyed her time serving the City of Blue Lake.

Mackay stepped down for personal reasons, and because she wanted a smooth transition for both vacant seats to be filled at the same time.

When it came time for the oath of office for Eliane Hogan and Chris Curran, they were eager and excited to make their titles official.

Both of them feel ready to do work for the City of Blue Lake and get to know the city more, so they can make impactful decisions.

Hogan and Curran are filling the vacancies through November 30th. They still have to be officially voted in, in the upcoming election to continue serving.
