McKinleyville man attacks housemate with gardening shears

MCKINLEYVILLE – A McKinleyville man is behind bars tonight for attacking a housemate with gardening shears following an argument.

Humboldt County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 1600  block of Bird Avenue for a report of physical altercation between two housemates.

Upon arrival, Deputies learned 37-year-old Thomas Earl Shiver of McKinleyville attacked a 42-year-old male victim who sustained injuries to his hands and arms.

He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Shriver was booked into jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
