Community center looks to partner with local farms

Eureka,  Ca. (KIEM)-The Jefferson Community Center is making big changes to their menu, for success.

For two weeks now, they’ve offered local, organic meals for youth ages 8 to 18, Monday through Thursday. The center has joined forces with local farms to encourage wholesome nutrition, and raise standards above that of the USDA.

The center hopes to meet demand by partnering with local farmers and volunteers. So, if you have a passion for the kitchen, drop by to apply. Dinner for the kids starts at 5 at the Jefferson Community Center, located on Clark Street in Eureka.
