Carlotta fire shuts down State Route 36

CARLOTTA – A fire in Carlotta shuts down State Route 36 for several hours.

The blaze was reported at around 1:15 this afternoon.

The Carlotta Volunteer Fire Department along with other agencies responded to a residence on the 7400 block of Love Lee Lane.

When crews arrived, flames were visible from two structures. The fire also spread to vegetation on the property.

The cause is under investigation.
