Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) September 11, 2001 the day the nation changed forever. 17 years ago heroism was demonstrated to the greatest extent.

Over 400 emergency responders made it their mission on this day over a decade ago to make the ultimate sacrifice. Tuesday, Humboldt Bay Fire, Arcata Fire, Rio Dell, Fortuna, and more paid a tribute to the victims, FDNY firefighters, and survivors by walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.
