In late August, Governor Jerry Brown, signed Senate Bill 10, which will put an end to the cash bail system. These local bail bondsmen are fighting for their future today, with a petition outside of the Humboldt County Courthouse.

Payton tells us the state currently has around 33,000 signatures, and says he will continue to do his part in seeking for more.
