EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Local hospital workers and Saint Joesph Health Chief Executive Roberta Luskin-Hawk attended the Eureka City Council meeting on Tuesday night to discuss a staffing controversy.

Many workers have expressed concern over a severe lack of staff, while the hospital explains they are attempting to ‘reshape the healthcare model.’

Over thirty hospital workers were abruptly let go last Tuesday, following a union rally in Eureka last Monday.

Our Dru Miller brings us some of the public comments from this week’s council meeting.
