Woman shot during suspected domestic violence attack in Miranda

MIRANDA, Ca. (KIEM) – A domestic violence suspect is arrested after allegedly shooting and injuring his spouse in Miranda on Wednesday.

At about 10AM, Humboldt County deputies were called to the 300 block of Thomas Road. A female adult was suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect, 31-year-old Michael Lee Russell, was arrested on charges of domestic violence, and violation of probation.
