HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA. (KIEM)-Three new low-income housing projects are coming to Humboldt County. Housing developer, DANCO Companies, has partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services to provide affordable housing for people at risk of, or, experiencing homelessness.

Starting next year, a 50-unit development partially for homeless veterans will be located on 4th and C Street in Eureka. In addition, an 80-unit family project will be built on the Samoa Peninsula, and a 26-unit project will be built in Rio-dell. For every resident, there will be on-site support services. They hope these efforts will allow locals to find housing they can afford.
