EUREKA, CA. (KIEM)-An aggressive cry for help will cost the Humboldt Bay Fire Department nearly a thousand dollars in repair.

Last night at around 9, 50-year old Ronald Key of Eureka reportedly threw a traffic cone through the station 1 office window. Key was threatening to harm himself. When eureka police officers arrived they saw key sitting on the ground visibly upset. Officers placed key under arrest for vandalism and violating parole. Battalion Chief Kent Hulbert says this is an opportunity to remind the public that in an emergency, there is a phone just outside of the police station across the street.

Eureka police say they’ve arrested key multiple times for vandalism. Just two weeks ago, police say, he vandalized a parked county vehicle on Wood Street.
